After RMX there haven’t been much of real action here except for writing mails and a ride to Nelliyampathy by a handfull riders
So ppl its time to clean her, check air oil and kick(self)start the baby again….. what better way to beat the heat, than riding to the NILGIRIS J
Ride Plan
Date: 24-04-10 to 25-04-10
Destination: Divine Highland
Distance: 550kms roundtrip
Note: The place to stay is away from the town with no shops or habitat around, so please carry your drinks, cigis etc if u need. It’s a basic stay with food, please don’t expect anything fancy. It’s a small place, so only a limited number can be accommodated.

Destination: Divine Highlands – Nilgiris
Ride Date: 24-04-2010
Start Time: 5am (We need to start early to avoid the lovely Sun as much as possible)
Start Point: Town Hall
1st regroup: Breakfast @ Mc Donald’s (approx 100 kms, its on the left side while heading towards Mysore)
2nd regroup: Opp Columbia Asia Hospital (Just After the Mysore – Ooty bypass, before entering the Mysore city)
3rd regroup: Nanjangud
4th regroup: Gundulpet
5th regroup: Pug Mark restaurant before Bandipur forest
6th regroup: approx 5kms after Tamil Nadu border – The junction where the road divides to Gudalur and Masinagudi (we take the left turn that goes to Masinagudi)
7th regroup: After Masinagudi town
8th regroup: Kalhatti Watter falls check post
9th regroup: 2 storey HP petrol bunk at the entrance of Ooty
10th regroup: Wax Museum on Coonoor road (Through Chairing Cross)
11th Divine Highland : look for a railway engine kept on the right side of the Coonoor road (The place is only 4kms from ooty, so please don’t go to Coonoor)
As with all rides, the following guidelines must be adhered to:
1. Carry all your documents - Vehicle Registration, Insurance, and License
2. Make sure your bike is prepared for the ride, check oil levels,
lights, horn, cables, get the carb and plug cleaned, check tyre
pressure. We will be riding close to 200 km in total.
3. HELMETS & SHOES ARE A MUST for you and your pillion. Those not wearing
helmets CANNOT ride with us.
4. Carry a few basic spares like Clutch cable, Throttle Cable, Tire tube
and your basic Tool kit in addition to the rear wheel removing spanner.
Do not expect to borrow and manage, this doesn’t always work on the
road.
5. Adequate riding accessories - jackets, gloves, knee pads etc..
6. Travel light… the weather is unpredictable it might be overcast or
rainy or sunny. Carry your basic rain gear, a hat and sun tan lotion if
you should need it. Come prepared.
7. Bungee cords to fasten your belongings.
8. A camera if you are a shutterbug.
9. Money to cover your fuel and food expenses and some extra money just
to meet any eventuality.
10. Recommend ARC Insurance coverage
11: AND NO DRINKING allowed while on the ride.
